Deepak Sharma is an Associate in the firm’s Bethlehem, PA office. His practice is focused primarily in the areas of plaintiff personal injury, commercial, and general litigation. He also advises clients regarding general business matters. Deepak is a skilled and experienced trial attorney who serves his clients with dedication and compassion. He has successfully arbitrated and tried numerous cases to verdict in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey courts.

Deepak has been a member of the Firm since 2015. He is an integral part of the Firm’s plaintiff personal injury practice. He represents individuals and families who have suffered significant losses and damages due to others’ negligent or intentional acts. Deepak has a passion for representing victims who were seriously injured or killed in catastrophic personal injury cases. These matters typically involve motor vehicle accidents, falls, or medical malpractice. Deepak has battled insurance companies and obtained numerous favorable results for his clients over the years, including several significant six-figure settlements. He also routinely teams with other firm attorneys to litigate multi-million-dollar personal injury cases. Deepak truly enjoys winning substantial financial recoveries for clients and appreciates the gratitude he has received from all of those he has helped.

Deepak also maintains a commercial and general litigation practice at the firm. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes including a range of complex contractual, warranty, consumer, and fraud claims. He also has experience litigating collection matters involving defaults arising from financial guarantees for surety bonds. Additionally, Deepak represents individuals, private companies, and public housing authorities regarding real estate and landlord/tenant matters.

Deepak joined the firm after gaining valuable experience with prominent, national insurance defense firms located in Center City, Philadelphia. During the first five years of his career in private practice, Deepak defended individuals, corporations, and municipalities from personal and commercial lines casualty claims which included automobile, premises, products, professional negligence, and general liability matters. He also represented insurance carriers in coverage disputes. Deepak was recognized by insurance clients for his positive results in the courtroom. For example, in 2014, he was honored to receive Westfield Insurance Company’s “Golden Gavel” Award after obtaining a defense verdict on behalf of its insured in a jury trial in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia. Now, as a plaintiff personal injury attorney, Deepak benefits from his experience in defending insurance claims and uses this knowledge to obtain favorable settlements from insurance companies for his injured clients.

Deepak is licensed to practice in the federal, state, and local courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a member of several professional associations including the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Northampton County Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ).

Deepak strives to be an active leader in the community. He serves as Legal Counsel and an Executive Board Member for the Indian American Association of the Lehigh Valley (IAALV) in Pennsylvania. In 2017, Deepak spearheaded the IAALV’s efforts to host a “town hall” event featuring Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro and several other elected officials and dignitaries to discuss legal and legislative strategies to combat the recent spate of violent hate crimes perpetrated against minorities. The event was covered by several media press outlets including televised local news.

Deepak was born and raised in Easton, PA. His parents immigrated from India in the 1970s. Deepak’s father is a local physician. Deepak attended high school at Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, PA. His interest in law surfaced as an undergraduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. In 2008, Deepak went on to earn his juris doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law located outside Philadelphia.

Following law school, Deepak was privileged to serve as an appellate judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jack A. Panella of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Deepak honed his legal research and writing skills under the guidance of Judge Panella.

Deepak is married and resides with his wife, daughter, and son in Forks Township, PA. His wife, Neha, is also a local physician.

Deepak is an avid sports fan and automobile enthusiast. He loyally supports his Philadelphia sports teams and Villanova Wildcats. Deepak’s favorite hobbies include cooking, tennis, and reading political biographies.

Deepak is fluent in Hindi and a conversational Spanish speaker. His foreign language skills are a major asset for client development.
