Katelynn Joye Reilly, an associate with the firm, focuses her practice on family law and general litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Kate was a Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Attorney General in Trenton, NJ, where she litigated child abuse and neglect cases. In her role as a Deputy, she served as an advisor to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), negotiated complex child abuse issues, and mediated cases. She conducted highly contested trials often involving multiple witnesses and experts and employed a creative legal approach in order to facilitate successful resolutions for her client and the child.

Kate also served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Donald J. Stein in Camden. During her clerkship, she researched and drafted recommendations on various legal issues, including child welfare and family laws.

While in law school, Katelynn worked full-time at a Plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Philadelphia as the discovery manager for the firm. She earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, where she attended school at night. She also participated in the Child and Family Advocacy Clinic at Rutgers and represented children in abuse and neglect cases.

Kate completed her undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Crime, Law, and Justice with a minor in International Studies. Her academic excellence was recognized through various honors, including the Dean’s List, the International Studies Scholarship, and the Janet K. Koziol Memorial Scholarship. Kate further broadened her horizons through a study abroad program at the University of Melbourne in Australia, where she received the Liberal Arts Study Abroad Scholarship.

She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is a Certified Civil Mediator. Her extensive legal experience, coupled with her dedication to child advocacy and her ability to navigate complex legal matters, make her an invaluable asset to our firm.
