Shannon is an associate in the firm’s New Providence office where she is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Education Law Groups.

In the area of labor and employment, Shannon represents both public and private clients before state and federal courts as well as New Jersey administrative agencies. She handles claims of harassment, discrimination, breach of employment contracts, retaliation, and other violations. In addition to litigation, Shannon counsels private and public employers on a wide range of employee issues including employee discipline, wage and hour laws, and policies and procedures. Lastly, she assists with labor union issues such as collective bargaining and negotiations.

She will also assist the firm’s school clients in a variety of matters including labor & employment, special education, school board governance, discipline & harassment, public contracting, and the Open Public Records Act.

Prior to joining the firm, Shannon served as a law clerk to the Honorable Verna G. Leath, J.S.C., and as a judicial intern to the Honorable Mary Jacobson, J.S.C.

Shannon received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark. While in law school, she was a clinical student at the Rutgers Law Immigrant Rights Clinic where she helped victims of domestic violence seek asylum. She also was a volunteer student representative for Rutgers University Street Law. In this role, she educated elementary students of the Newark community about basic legal concepts. Shannon received her B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University.

She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
