One at One: COVID-19 & Local Government Employees
Posted May 19, 2020
Today’s Issue:
Do the New Jersey Civil Service Commission Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions for COVID-19 apply to local government employees?
Answer:
The Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) may be applicable to local government employees. On April 28, 2020, the NJ Civil Service Commission (“CSC”) issued new Guidelines and FAQs. The CSC stated that the Guidelines and FAQs are mandatorily applicable to State employees but not local government employees. The determination of the applicability of the Guidelines and FAQs to local government employees is to be determined by each municipality.
