One at One: Grace Period to Pay Property Taxes?
Posted May 12, 2020
Today’s Issue:
Is the grace period extended for property owners to pay local quarterly property taxes?
Answer:
Yes. On April 28, 2020, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order 130 extending the grace period for the payment of local property taxes. Pursuant to Executive Order 130, the grace period for property tax payments is extended until June 1, 2020. As such, a property owner will not incur a penalty if the owner’s property tax payment is properly submitted to the local municipality before June 1, 2020.
