Has the New Jersey Department of Education (“NJDOE”) relaxed or revised any of the TEACH NJ tenure charge filing requirements?

Answer:

No. The timelines and manner of service for tenure charges remain unchanged. NJDOE advised that failure to follow the requirements could be subject to a legal challenge in the future. The employee or their representative may consent to service via email or other manner of delivery. The NJDOE Department of Controversies and Disputes requests that all filings by send via email only to .
