  • One at One: Telehealth for Students?

Today’s Issue:

May a school district utilize telehealth conferencing to provide student health services?

Answer:

Yes. For the duration of the COVID-19 public health emergency, HIPAA requirements, which would otherwise limit the use of video platforms for the administration of telehealth, have been relaxed. Zoom, Skype, Apple Face Time, and Facebook Messenger video chat, are temporarily approved for use in telehealth services.
