Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor is proud to once again participate as a Gold Sponsor of the New Jersey School Boards Association’s Annual Workshop event, the largest training conference for school officials in the State. The event will be held October 22nd through October 25th at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Members of the Firm’s Education Practice Group will present several workshops over the course of the 3-day event addressing thousands of attendees from school districts all over New Jersey on topics related to this year’s theme: “Engaging Every Child.”

FPSC Attorneys Lester E. Taylor III, Kim C. Belin, and Nishali Rose, will present valuable information for school board members and administrators on timely issues affecting public school districts.

Mr. Taylor will present “The Impact of the Janus Decision” on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in Room 409 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

On Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Atlantic City Convention Center, Ms. Belin will take part in “Courts, Cases, and Controversies” a lighthearted faux production of an actual board meeting, with local attorneys “acting” as board members and administrators of a fictional New Jersey school board.

Ms. Rose will take part in presenting on Leave, Absenteeism, and other grounds for dismissal during the School Law Forum on Thursday, October 25, 2018 in Room 403 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Led by Partner Lester E. Taylor III, FPSC’s Education practice group provides a broad range of legal counseling and services to some of the largest school districts in the state and institutions of higher learning. Our attorneys counsel school board members on a myriad of issues from special education and related services, discipline and harassment intimidation and bullying, to labor and employment matters, including tenure hearings and increment withholdings, collective negotiations, arbitrations, unfair practice charges and harassment and disability claims.
