On February 1, 2023, Lester Taylor, a Partner with Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton and Taylor and Chair of its Education Law Group, will speak at NJICLE’s 20th Annual School Law Conference. Hailed as the top School Law Conference in New Jersey for school board members & employees, as well as school law attorneys, this comprehensive program features a case law and legislative update, a roundtable discussion on the Supreme Court’s impact on public schools, a session dedicated to ethical issues that school law practitioners need to be aware of, and entirely new workshops focusing on Title IX, Mallory’s Law, the School Ethics Act, and Covid and student mental health.

The 20th Annual School Law Conference is being presented in cooperation with the School Law Special Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. It is being held from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm at the Law Center in New Brunswick, NJ. To register or for more information, please click here.

Lester Taylor is a Partner at Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor and Chair of the firm’s Education Law Group. He represents counties, municipalities, and boards of education throughout New Jersey in matters related to general counsel services, litigation, labor, employment, and redevelopment. Lester served as Mayor of the City of East Orange, NJ, from 2014-2017. He has received numerous awards and recognition from various civic organizations and often volunteers to speak with students on the importance of education and developing leadership skills. Currently, Lester serves on the Board of Trustees of the Montclair State University Foundation, the Board of Three Doctors Foundation, the Board of the United Way of Greater Newark, the Board of Sustainable Jersey, and the Board of Jersey Water Works. Lester graduated from Montclair State University and Howard University School of Law.
