Seth Tipton, a Partner of Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor, was recently quoted in the New Jersey Law Journal. Tipton, co-Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Cannabis Law Special Committee, comments in the article, ‘Everyone Wants to Know When Licenses Will Start’: Cannabis Practices See ‘Significant Influx’ of Work.

In the article, Tipton says, “New clients have reached out in the days since the passage of the new law People already in the industry outside of the state, and New Jersey citizens that are interested in entering the field, are excited about the prospects of this new market.” He adds, “It’s also important to note that the injunction that had held up the 2019 request for applications from the [state] Department of Health for the medical cannabis program has recently been dissolved, meaning that 24 licenses can be potentially awarded by the Department of Health in 2021.”

These are exciting times for business wanting to enter the New Jersey Cannabis market. For more information about Cannabis Law in New Jersey, please contact Seth Tipton.
