  • Seth Tipton to Speak on the New Jersey Cannabis Law Ballot Referendum

On Monday, Oct. 19, Seth Tipton, a partner at Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor LLC and Co-Chair of the NJSBA Cannabis Law Special Committee, will be a presenter on a NJICLE Webcast entitled The Cannabis Law Referendum, You and Your Clients – What You Need to Know Now. This CLE class, presented in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association Cannabis Law Committee and South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey, will take 9 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. For more information or to register, please click here.

New Jersey residents will vote to or not to authorize recreational marijuana for adult use on the November 3rd ballot. Poll results indicate that support for legalized marijuana is strong so it is likely to pass. The question for lawyers is – what will happen next? This program has many speakers discussing a variety of topics surrounding the cannabis referendum and what a legalized adult-use bill will mean to lawyers and their clients.

Tipton, along with Josh Bauchner, Esq., of Ansell Grimm & Aaron, P.C., will discuss How did we get here?  The Jake Honig Law and the Referendum. The Jake Honig Law, signed by Gov. Murphy in July 2019, dramatically reformed New Jersey’s  cannabis program and how the upcoming referendum, if successful, will lead to an adult use cannabis market.
