Nicholas Sullivan‘s article “Claims Against Licensed Professionals: Obtain an Affidavit of Merit or Risk Being Left Holding the Bill” was featured in the April 2024 edition of Utility & Transportation Contractor, the official publication of the Utility and Transportation Contractors Association of New Jersey.

The article delves into the interpretation of the New Jersey Prompt Payment Act (PPA) in a recent legal case. Both the trial and appellate courts concluded that the defendant violated the PPA by failing to object to and pay the contractor’s invoice promptly.
