  • Katelynn Reilly Addresses Social Media Harassment at Rutgers

On September 30, 2025, attorney Katelynn Reilly served as a panelist to Rutgers University faculty and students in their Student Affairs Fall Community Gathering. Katelynn shared her experience as an attorney representing survivors of domestic violence. Katelynn was selected for her strong advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and her frequent representation of Rutgers students navigating complex legal decisions.

In her practice working with Rutgers University, Katelynn understands the unique and ever-changing challenges presented to college students in a modern, social media and artificial intelligence (AI) driven world. In her presentation, Katelynn explained that modern-day harassment cases are much different than other forms of domestic violence, and many cases of harassment have expanded by way of social media and electronic communication.

As a result, survivors of domestic violence require representation by attorneys who have a clear understanding of harassment through social media outlets and who understand the true global impact social media can have on survivors.
