Sarah Powell Named Co-Chair of Florio Perrucci’s Corporate & Business, Commercial Real Estate, and Cannabis Practice Groups

Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli & Tipton is proud to announce that Sarah Powell has been promoted to Co-Chair of the firm’s Corporate & Business, Commercial Real Estate, and Cannabis Practice Groups.

About Sarah Powell

Sarah Powell is a partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Corporate & Business, Commercial Real Estate, and Cannabis Practice Groups.

Sarah has advised companies in a variety of corporate transactions ranging in complexity, including stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, mergers, joint ventures and other strategic alliances.   She uses a tailored approach to each business deal based on the client’s goals and an understanding of their business and industry.  Sarah’s technical expertise and the ability to offer both practical advice and creative solutions in this complex practice area allows her to achieve the best results for a diverse array of clients.

Sarah further has extensive experience in real estate law, including the purchase and sale, development, financing and leasing of commercial and industrial properties, as well as the formation and governance of condominiums, cooperatives and planned communities.

Sarah is also a member of the firm’s cannabis law practice.  She has experience advising clients regarding the licensing process and other regulatory issues at both the state and local levels.  Sarah’s knowledge of and experience with the cannabis space and its quickly evolving statutes and regulations is expansive. She has handled numerous appeals by cannabis businesses against state and municipal agencies and is currently assisting with a pending petition for certiorari before the New Jersey Supreme Court on several nuanced due process issues in the cannabis business licensing process. Sarah’s regulatory knowledge, combined with her corporate and real estate background, make her particularly skilled at serving the many needs of both emerging businesses and large companies in the cannabis industry. In 2023, Sarah and firm partner, Seth Tipton, coauthored New Jersey Cannabis Regulation, the first and only book of its kind focused on New Jersey cannabis law.

She joined the firm in 2018 after practicing for several years at a large law firm based out of Philadelphia.  Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Haverfod College.

She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Georgia.
